We went to the Science Museum last week and actually saw more than the dinosaurs! Usually we do a cursory run (literally mean run) through another area and get right to the dinosaurs. This visit, a lot of other things held his attention.

Bike

Pre-bike ride. He is pretty excited here. That did not last long, he's getting a Strider.

Car

Once again, socks & shoes off in the car.

Day with Grigg

Jack & Grigg playing together for the day. The top picture is when I found them IN the toybox. The bottom is Jack trying to explain puzzles. That conversation led to a demonstration in which Grigg just watched, then got up & went on to something else....

T-Rex/Monster/Dragon

As many of you who have spent much time with Jack know, he is obsessed with dinosaurs, monsters, dragons,etc... And has perfected the role. In this series of pictures you can see what he does. Of course showing his dimples the entire time to increase the scare factor!

Ben & Jack

Irish

St. Patrick's Day cake for dinner with friends this weekend. A tad bit Irish in this household but for the most part indulgences this weekend were in sugar, not alcohol (ie: the cake is gone and it is only Tuesday! :)

All Boy

As you can see, the weather in MN is fantastic, and I have an "all boy" boy! Dirty face on two different days. I foresee lots of baths this summer!

Evolution

Jack making himself comfortable for a trip to the salon with me this week. He was a hit with the staff, but ever more so with the little girl you can see in the bottom picture. Once her dad sat down for a cut, she and Jack sat together. Between Jack's daddy's iPad and her daddy's iPhone they were best buddies for the last half hour of our adventure.

Coffee

Dino goes to the Angry Catfish in the rain. And made his way around the coffee shop exploring everything he could find :)

Carried

Jack's preferred mode of transportation when he is tired out.

New Shoes

Jack's latest shoe purchase. I love that all he wants to wear right now are "my Hunters".

Books

One day last week Jack started taking stacks of books into the bathroom, laying them out, and one by one reading them. We have no idea why. Or why he eventually stacked them back up and returned them to his bookcase.

Preschool

I breathed a sigh of relief today as we got notice today Jack did get into the only preschool that made our list of appropriate choices after our diligent search, and my well honed ability to deem a school completely unfit for reasons other people raised eyebrows at me over (multiple times). I am still confident each school I crossed off the possibility list would have posed great dangers to the physical and mental well being of my one and only child :)

He will start in the fall and boldly declared today he has no interest in going.  He prefers to stay home and play.

Animal Encyclopedia

Enjoying his new Animal Encyclopedia. Much to Brandon's displeasure, Jack is obsessed with the "Snakes" section.

Thai

Jack is a good eater, but absolutely loves Thai food. He ate more at True Thai last weekend than he has eaten in about 3 weeks!

Zoo

Thursday morning at the MN Zoo. We learned: try to find out if it is a special day at the Zoo before going. 23 school buses when we left = crazy levels of noise and tons of teenagers running around. Yikes! But we had a great time with Mike & Grigg - Mike, Jack is already talking about next time.

Jack's latest obsession: puzzles. He complete his atlas puzzle that includes animals found in different parts of the world.

I am pretty confident every 3 year old takes their yoga mat to the middle of the kitchen floor and gets comfortable with a comic book.

Shoes

Running (yes, actually running) around the house in 3" Coach heels. And he did quite well!

Lenny Kravitz

Lenny Kravitz at the State Theater last night was AMAZING! I am not one for many concerts but I never miss Lenny. I am currently deaf in my left ear - hopefully I can hear again sometime this month.

Many of you know we don't really "do" kid's music at home. Jack gets what mom & dad like. And of course Lenny is in high rotation. Two things I have found funny in relation to this:

1. Yesterday Jack told everyone that he was going to play with his friends (Amber & Jazzy) because mommy & daddy were going to see Lenny Krapitz. Not a typo - his articulation of the name :)
2. When asked who sings American Woman, one of Jack's favorites, he replies "me".
