Snack Week

Snacks are divided by the week at Jack's school, and follow the letter of the alphabet that they are focused on that week. We got "R". What comes to mind first but things like radishes and rutabagas. Not appropriate for preschool snack :(.  We did red apples, raisins & round crackers, and tomorrow is "R" sugar cookies.

Kuhn Rikon

Someone asked me about his knife. This is what it looks like, the orange thing on the left is the "tail", and you can see the eye/nose of the dog. It is made by Kuhn Rikon and Brandon picked it up at Kitchen Window.

Cute

These are just some cute shots from yesterday.

Lunch Box

Home from school and ready for lunch out of his Lego lunchbox!

Sledding

Enjoyed the snow yesterday with his friend Charlie, escorted by the very brave and eventually very tired, Kyle (Charlie's dad).

Big Blue Snake - Finally!

As some of you know Jack has been working towards his "reward" for some time.  He finally got all of his stars yesterday! Much to Brandon's dismay, and despite his best efforts to encourage him to instead get a huge Lego set, Jack did decide on the blue snake from the aquarium. The pictures are of his rushing through the exhibits as fast as humanly possible to get to the gift store and then proudly carrying the bag. He brought the snake to the register, handed it to the older woman working, and said "I earned this and I promise not to scare my daddy with it"...cutest thing ever!

Madison's Baptism

Lovely baptism today for Madison Lee. Neither Jack nor Grigg made it through the entire service (though Jack did see the baptism before needing to make his exit), though both boys enjoyed post service party playtime and cake.

Jack & Lilly

Jack and his friend Lilly, being silly over fruit at lunch during a post-school playdate last week. He cut his hair Wednesday, she came over Thursday, Saturday she cut hers :)

HairCUT

Jack was left unsupervised for sub-5 minutes on Wednesday (no exaggeration). He cut his own hair along with one of the dog's fur (Madeline). He cut so much it necessitated an emergency visit to the salon for a major haircut. Our little peanut looks like he aged 3 years in 30 minutes :(

Dog Knife

Jack loves to help cook. Brandon brought home a knife for him the other day - it is a "dog" (complete with nose, eyes & tail). Here he is practicing his cutting skills on a banana.

40!

Brandon turns 40! A quiet family celebration included a breakfast at Patisserie 46, watching some high school basketball (a colleague of his from out of state had his son playing in a tournament in St. Paul) and a Triceratops cake.

Simply Cute Pictures

During the "P" week at school (they study letters by the week) they made penguin costumes.

Angry Catfish stop after visiting Dr. Kori (Chiropractor) - really good hot chocolate

Home from a long day - school followed  by a playdate, in Ang's sweatshirt, playing a game on his iPad
