12 Month Appointment

Jack came out of his 12 month appointment with 4 bandaids and a wrist band. But he is perfectly healthy and has advanced from 4% of normal for weight to 17% of normal so the doc is happy. He was pretty curious about all the bandaids.

Jack loves aquariums, and the Shedd was another hit. He particularly liked the Penguins- we brought a stuffed one home.

Coral or Fish?

These ugly fish were in a coral exhibit. They literally blend in with their surroundings. Had

we not known they would be there they would easily have been overlooked as part of their surroundings.

Jack has a "thing" for hotel rooms with huge windows & lots of things to look at. This was the evening we checked into The Dana Hotel & Spa in Chicago (which we would all recommend - www.danahotelandspa.com).

Post Weekend

We had a very busy weekend and this is on Sunday late afternoon. Friday included haircuts for all 3 of us and Jack went with Dad to have Mom's car serviced. Then Friday wrapped up with a dinner party. Saturday we had a get together with our Parenting Class group. Jack is the youngest and it is amazing how fast these kids grow! Saturday Jack had a Boys Night with Dad while mom and a friend took a sewing class (yes, you read that right - didn't even sew any fingers together!) at a new store in the neighborhood. Sunday Grandma came over to see Jack (we tease her she doesn't care about Ang & B anymore - she just wants to see the little man) and then it was off to his friend Greta's first birthday party. After a quick stop at Galleria for new glasses for Dad we stopped for coffee and the above picture illustrates how Jack reacted to the day!
